2009 Vintage tasted on draft. 1/22/10
Super Kitty poured a light brown color with a two-fingered width, off white head. The
aroma is dominated by piney hops, with some honey, and malt undertones. The body is very rich, smooth, with some sweetness
up front. It has a nice malt backbone and the alcohol has a warming effect. The finish has a pretty sharp hop bite,
and the alcohol is a little more noticeable. The pour left a decent amount of hangling lace on the glass. Overall
this is a pretty good beer now, and will get even better with age. It is smooth, robust, and very well balanced.
Super Kitty does a good job of hiding its high ABV, but the finish is a little harsh. This will
get even better as it will round out a little after a year or two of laying down. If you can find this, it is well worth
it despite its slightly high price tag.
